Growth Acceleration Partners (GAP) has unveiled its AI Impact Framework, a new tool designed to assess the real business outcomes of artificial intelligence investments. This framework seeks to aid organizations in distinguishing between routine AI-assisted tasks and those that significantly enhance productivity, automate processes, or create reusable capabilities across teams.
The framework requires employees to submit evidence of AI-enabled work completed over the previous six months. This evidence can encompass production code, custom AI agents, automated testing systems, delivery pipelines, large-scale migrations, internal tools, and reusable systems. Importantly, the framework excludes self-reported or hypothetical AI capabilities from its assessments.
A multi-agent evaluation process is employed within the framework, where an evaluator reviews the submitted evidence, an adversarial agent challenges any unsupported claims, and a referee conducts a final review before determining a score. Human managers and project leaders then validate these results, with the option for additional reviews if disputes arise.
The framework categorizes participants into four AI maturity levels, ranging from limited AI integration to advanced capabilities in developing and operating AI agents, automated workflows, and reusable systems that drive broader organizational impact. GAP is also utilizing the framework internally to spot capability gaps and tailor development plans for its employees. By July 2026, the company noted that approximately 41% of its workforce had achieved Level 3, while around 48% had reached Level 2 on the maturity scale.
According to GAP, the AI Impact Framework aims to set measurable baselines, identify developmental needs, and assist organizations in progressing from basic AI adoption to more autonomous and impactful operational methods. This initiative reflects a growing interest in quantifying AI’s tangible benefits beyond simple usage metrics.
